Women's Body Changes.

Women go through major physiological changes every 7 years. The most significant changes occur at around 14 years when menstruation begins and approximately 49-50 years when menstruation becomes infrequent and ceases. Menopause is natural change in life but it affects women mentally, emotionally and physically. You may experience mood swings, temporary loss of libido and vaginal dryness, hot flashes, itchy and dry skin, depression and uneasy feelings inside.
Menopause is explained as decrease of the yin (moisture and fluids) in Traditional Chinese medicine. The woman's body gets dry and then the dryness produces heat (it is an explanation of hot flashes in menopausal women). So, anything that causes dryness and generates heat  should be avoided : like smoking causes the dryness of mouth, throat and lungs; alcohol generates a lot of heat in the whole body; caffeine acts as diuretic and causes dryness in the body; stress agitates people and produces too much heat
.
